WRITING

• Twelve years of writing experience in business writing, journalism, non-fiction, fiction.

• On-site business writing experience for a variety of industry types, including retail clothing sales, food chains, interior design firms, hospitals and treatment centers, law offices.

  I spent my formative working years in restaurant management, where I gleaned priceless marketing and sales knowledge.

  At the law office of Gene Spencer, I assisted Mr. Spencer in drafting various types of legal documents, as well as preparing cases for court.

  At Kay Shaughnessy Interiors, I was the owner's executive assistant and marketing director. Kay is considered one of the premier interior designers in the South, specializing in over-sized custom-fitted plantation blinds.

  As the marketing director at Flippo Enterprises, I generated sales leads that contributed to a 50% increase in profit margin. My compensation was a substantial revenue share.

  At O'Charley's Restaurants, I was assistant to the marketing director. I was also the training director. I wrote and revised the training program.
