Otomedius Excellent review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow video game review of Otomedius Excellent, a side-scrolling cute-’em-up developed and published in 2011 by Konami for the XBox 360. This is the kind of shoot-’em-up you play when you don’t care about functioning in normal society. Any passerby would look at this game and think there’s something wrong with you, and that you should stay away from their children. Which is unfortunate, because Otomedius Excellent is adorable. Take a girls’ school full of color-coded combat pilots, make them ride their ships from the outside rather than inside, and get your Gradius on, just like the old days. Look on the bright side: It’s still better than Strike Witches. This CGRundertow video game review features video gameplay footage of Otomedius Excellent for the XBox 360 and audio commentary from Classic Game Room’s TJ.

  1. badass game and background graphics, its seems a little slow in speed but overall collectors piece

  2. And I thought Pure White Lovers Bizarre Jelly 5 was a parody minigame. Not at all, it's just a top-scrolling clone of this game.

  3. Its five fucking dollars on Amazon so all arguements are invalid. Might as well just buy it and get some entertainment out of it.

  4. its time to put tariffs on weird shit that makes we worry about where our species is going

  5. pfft. i don't give a fuck.  I'll totally buy this game.  this guy's review is basically like saying "don't get Hyperdimension Neptunia PP".  i fuckin' love cute anime girls.

  6. I bought this game because it's kind of a "Parodius" spin off. I don't think it's as outrageous as Parodius it's still pretty crazy with all the T&A and space ships!

  7. I didn't think this game was that persevered till I plugged a controller in and started clicking on the characters with the cursor at the character selects and loading screens… Yeah–like WTf. This is not a kids game lol

  8. THE FEMALE BODY IS MADE OF SIN AND YOU SHOULD FEEL ASHAMED TO BE LOOKING AT IT EVEN WHEN IT'S JUST A DRAWING SHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAME

  9. Okay, how do you get the options into that continuous V arrangement? I cannot seem to figure it out, and it would help my play style.

  10. The gameplay has not been dumbed down but it easy as dicks compared to the main Gradius games. The only real challenge come from the DLC levels that are only playable in Score Attack mode and the last two achievements.
I'd recommend that if you do get it and want one of the music packs, get Esmeralda's because it has a couple of tracks from Manabu Namiki, composer for Battle Garegga, Armed Police Batrider, Ketsui, and DoDonPachi DaiOuJou and DaiFuklkatsu.

  11. gradius v on ps2 is harder, looks better and has better soundtrack. you are right. they should make at least an hd version of gradius v on xbox live and psn.
