Nintendo Switch Review In Progress

  1. This is why I never go to IGN's site or trust their reviews. Most of this review is just not fair. I swear if it wasn't for Damon, Justin and Marty / Game Scoop, I would've unsubbed and unfollowed IGN completely when Greg, Colin, Tim and Nick left.

  2. So IGN gave the launch 3ds with the same 2.5-6 hour battery life but was underpowered at the time and it's sole feature (3D) worked only in ideal situations earns a 7.5. . . .

  3. The one real problem I have with this review is that the reviewer is using botw as a measurement of power for the system. First of all it's a Wii U port and second, it isn't fully optimized for the switch. If it was built up from the ground solely for the switch, it'd be a whole different story. Just look at Mario odyssey, looks more smooth than botw. Also some Xbox one games run at 30fps. Doesn't horizon zero dawn also run at 30fps?

  4. IGN was really pesimist when reviewing this. It's a brave and ambitious console that does what it's intended to do. Just take this quote from Winston Churchill:
"A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity. An optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty."

    Take that as advice, IGN.

  5. A lot of these complains are pretty petty tbh. Saying that you don't like how the headphone jack and power button are on the same side is a dumb thing to complain about in a formal review

  6. I'm seeing plenty of comments about "terrible frame rates" in Zelda BOTW on the Switch. So I went to Digital Foundry's latest Zelda analysis Switch video to have another look. And ummm I have no idea what y'all are whining about :/ the frame is most of the time a stable 30 FPS, and drops few frames only with heavy particle effects but even then, they are just temporary drops and the frame rate jumps back to 30.
Plus this is a Nintendo game we're talking about, so why are people concerned?
You really think they don't know the advantages/disadvantages of their own systems? lol
Srsly man, this is pretty much whining for the sake of it xD
As for this video, while it does make a few valid points, most of it is just nitpicking.
Like for eg, complaining about the power doesn't make any sense because it's a HANDHELD and NOT A CONSOLE.
Overall, a pretty terrible review which blows up the issues out way of proportion. Go watch Digital Foundry's review on this system, it's much better.

  7. Honesty is a lost value in console reviews… Man, I wish I could find one, just one reviewer, that honestly said what he really thought of this failed Nintendo product.

  8. all i hear is it cost as much as a ps4 what if you have the other systems than what get 2 ill take the switch

  9. High quality build, great design, plays Zelda. That's all that matters. btw, my 500GB PS4 filled itself up VERY quickly and I have never bought digital. Zelda has no mandatory install. If other games follow suit, that 32BG will last me a long, long time. Space doesn't matter, it's how you use it.

  10. Nintendo made it weak so it could be cheep!

They should have put the nvidia tegra X2 chip in it insteed of the old x1.

They going to switch out the ship in a year to x2 because ita to weak laggy 🙁

  11. I think you can downscale the resolution of games while in docked mode. I'll sacrifice graphics for FPS any day of the week. BotW may be laggy because of poor optimization from the Wii U version, just speculation.
