I have tried to see why i cant run a wired connection through my ps3 correctly. it finds the ip address but it says there is a DNS problem. I was just exchanging the ethernet cord out of my pc and to my ps3. Do i just need to purchase a separate ethernet cord and have one cord in my pc and another through my ps3 or is there a way i can use only one cord from my router straight to my ps3?

  1. Yeah I think you do need another cord. It is probably causing confusion for the ISP somehow with all the switching back and forth. You could just get a wireless router. They aren’t very expensive and they help a ton.
